School Motto

Building a Caring Community of Scholars

At Suquamish we C.A.R.E.

At Suquamish Elementary School, we are deeply committed to ensuring the success of our students. As educators, we recognize that every child has the potential to thrive, and we believe that providing a wide range of opportunities for them to develop their skills, knowledge, and character is essential to their growth and development.

One of our core values is building a strong sense of community, both within our school and in the wider world. We teach our Suquamish scholars to CARE about this mission, which means that we encourage them to be Collaborative, Accountable, Respectful, and Empathetic. By working together and treating one another with kindness and respect, we believe that we can create a supportive and nurturing environment that allows our students to flourish.

In addition to teaching academic skills and knowledge, we also focus on developing the character traits that are essential to success in all areas of life. We help our students cultivate a positive attitude, which is an essential ingredient for overcoming challenges and achieving their goals. We also encourage them to be resilient, so that they can bounce back from setbacks and persevere in the face of obstacles.

We believe that empathy is a critical quality that helps our students connect with others and understand their perspectives. By fostering this trait, we help our students become more compassionate and kind, which not only benefits them personally but also helps build stronger communities and a better world.

In Short, at Suquamish Elementary School, we are dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in all aspects of life. We believe that by nurturing their academic abilities and their character, we can help them become responsible, respectful, and caring members of our community and the world beyond.
